STONELEIGH, UK — 22 September 2026 — DAHON made its first full UK tradeshow presentation at Cycling Industry News Live (CIN Live) 2026, held 20–21 September at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. At Stand E28, DAHON showcased a new generation of folding bicycles featuring its proprietary DAHON-V Technology, with the Mariner Family and a selection of models for urban commuting, outdoor riding and versatile mobility taking centre stage.
CIN Live brings together bicycle retailers, workshop operators, distributors and suppliers from across the UK cycling industry, creating a platform for brands and trade professionals to connect, exchange ideas and explore new products and technologies. For DAHON, the event provided an opportunity to present its latest portfolio directly to the UK trade and further strengthen its presence in the market.
DAHON-V Tech Suite: Engineering Beyond the Fold

One of the key highlights of DAHON’s CIN Live presentation was its DAHON-V Tech Suite. Dahon-V tech suite includes full tests on frame and seatpost rigidity, overall bike stiffness, and dynamic rocking tests. From the data came two engineering refinements now applied across DAHON's folding lineup—enabled by DELTECH cable and the Super Downtube, DAHON-V tech raises frame stiffness by 33% and translates pedaling power to a real-world riding-speed gain of 5–15%, depending on rider weight, terrain, and wheel size.
The Mariner Family: Folding Mobility for Different Riders
The Mariner Family was a major focus of DAHON’s UK debut, demonstrating how folding-bike engineering can address different rider needs, from everyday urban commuting to higher-load applications.
Mariner HD — Heavy-Duty Folding Performance
The Mariner HD, recognized with a d&i Award at Taipei Cycle 2026, is designed for bigger riders. With a maximum payload of 150 kg, the Mariner HD combines DAHON-V Tech with an aviation-grade aluminium K-frame. The model also features 20-inch multi-terrain tires, a Shimano 8-speed drivetrain with a DAHON-custom 52T chainring and 11–32T cassette, and disc brakes, providing a practical setup for urban and mixed-terrain riding.
MARINER D8 — The time-tested classic
The Mariner D8 is built for urban riders who want one bike that does it all. With DAHON's proprietary DAHON-V Tech, it rides like a full-size commuter bike — but folds away with ease. It uses anti-corrosion components throughout, so it holds up in damp, messy conditions. When folded, it measures just 83 × 35 × 67 cm and weighs about 12.6 kg, so it fits on trains, under desks, in apartment hallways, or in a car trunk. It's the perfect "4+2" commute: drive to the station, fold it on, and ride the last mile to work. No parking stress, no theft worries — just riding.

Folding demonstrations also gave visitors an opportunity to experience the compact operation and practical versatility of the range first-hand.
